Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will not perform flights on the route Kyiv-Simferopol until June 26. The UIA press service reports.
Ukraine International Airlines informs that due to the current restrictions on flights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, all UIA flights between Kyiv and Simferopol were canceled for reasons beyond the control of the airlines until June 26, 2014 inclusive. In case of changes in the airline schedule, we will promptly inform you,” a report says.
To remind, the airlines canceled flights between Kyiv and Simferopol in the period of March 12-17, 2014, due to the closure of the International Airport Simferopol. Later, the date to restore air links with Crimea was moved to April 29.
In addition, Turkish Airlines suspended its flights on the route Istanbul – Simferopol from March 11 until June 17, and Ukrainian Dniproavia postponed the launch of a new route Kyiv-Sevastopol until the end of April.
Now, the Simferopol Airport serves only flights from Moscow and Tashkent, performed by the Russian airlines. The flights are performed in flyby of mainland Ukraine.
