A new terminal D at the Kyiv Airport (Zhuliany) will be opened in late October 2013.
Construction of the temporary terminal D for internal flights is carried out at the International Airport Kyiv. It is located 50 meters from the functioning terminal A for international flights.
The terminal D will open in late October 2013,” the press service of the airport has stated.
It is also specified that after opening of the new terminal, all domestic flights will be transferred there, which are now serviced at the old terminal B and the new terminal A. A temporary terminal D could service up to 400 passengers a year.
Further plans of the Kyiv airport include construction of a full-fledged terminal for domestic flights, expansion of the international terminal A, construction of the hangar complex and hotel.
Currently, works are underway on expansion of the parking zone on the airport’s landside area for 50 parking slots.
Note. The Kyiv Airport started work in May 1924. It is located in Kyiv at a distance of eight kilometers southwest from the city center and is the second important airport following the Boryspil airport.
