Kharkiv Airlines Launches Flights From Kyiv to Goa

Kharkiv Airlines on October 20 started performing flights from Kyiv to Goa from Boryspil International Airport, the airport’s press service has reported.
This is the first long-range route opened from Boryspil Airport after the bankruptcy of AeroSvit Airlines.

“On October 20, Boryspil Airport resumed the performance of long-haul flights. Flights on the Kyiv-Goa route were launched by Kharkiv Airlines. The first flight departed according to the schedule, with 218 passengers on board,” reads the statement.

The airline’s service said that flights from Kyiv to Goa would be conducted twice a week along with travel operator Pegas Touristik on board a Boeing 767-300ER plane, equipped with business- and economy-class cabins.

The airline plans soon to open several more long-haul destinations, including to Punta Cana (the Dominican Republic), Nha Trang (Vietnam), Bangkok and Phuket (Thailand).

Boryspil International Airport is Ukraine’s largest airport, and it ensures more than 50% of passenger transportation in Ukraine. More than 50 airlines conduct regular flights from Boryspil Airport to over 100 destinations around the world.

Kharkiv Airlines became part of DCH, a group owned by businessman Oleksandr Yaroslavsky, in the summer of 2012. Kharkiv Airlines’s fleet currently consists of a Boeing 767-300ER and two Boeing 737-800NGs. In the long term the number of planes will grow according to the approved schedule of the development of a network of routes.
