Fifty-seven percent of Ukrainian citizens actively use the Internet, Director for Development of IT Clients at Google Ukraine Yevhen Halkin said during an educational seminar in Kyiv on Thursday.
“More than half of Ukrainians are already connected to the Internet, and this figure is constantly growing. Now the figure is 57%, and the dynamics is positive. There’s currently a trend towards the connection of older people and people living in villages and towns. As for the cities with a population of over one million people – the number of Internet users there reaches 70%,” he said.
Director for Marketing at Google Ukraine Sviatoslav Komakha, in turn, added that 70% of Ukrainians daily use online search, 90% visit social networking sites, and 60% Ukrainian at least once were shopping online.
